Just in Time (JIT) is the lean breakthrough that allows companies to get rid of large amounts of inventory and unfinished goods. Basically, it means that widgets show up just in time for manufacturing, and production happens just in time for purchase like Dell Computers got so professional and efficient at. Agile is based on lean, the approach allows customers, to focus their time and money on the immediate needs of the business.
